10 Best Laptops for Blogging
If you are a blogger looking for the best laptops, any of the below options are a good choice!
1. MacBook Air 13: Best Laptop for blogging
Though there are plenty of Mac computers to choose from, the MacBook Air 13 is one of the best laptops for bloggers out there and my personal #1 choice.
The MacBook Air 16 is also excellent if you want a larger screen size. (I just didn’t have the budget at the time for this.)
This wonderful device covers all the bases in terms of functionality while being extremely small and lightweight. The MacBook Air 13 or the MacBook Air 16 remain arguably the best for working and blogging on the go.
Besides being outrageously lightweight and compact, this laptop has heaps of eye-catching features such as a touch ID unlock system, stereo speaker sound, a magic keyboard, and a force touch trackpad. It’s also created from 100% recycled aluminum and comes in three different colors.
The reason I chose a Apple MacBook Air laptop was because I was tired of my PC laptops getting slow after a year and getting viruses so easily.
I’ve had my MacBook Air laptop for 5 years now and guess what? It hasn’t slowed down at all. Or gotten any viruses. I work on my blog on this laptop and it always performs. It has been the perfect laptop so far.
And, best of all, I haven’t had to invest again in a new laptop. Investing in an Apple MacBook computer for working on your blog will save you money in the long run and I highly recommend it. If you have the extra budget, you could opt for the Apple MacBook Pro.

What Computer is Best for Bloggers?
So, just to recap, we think the best computer for bloggers is the MacBook Air!
How to choose the best laptop
Choosing the right laptop for you may depend on many factors, including personal preference. But, here are a few factors to consider when choosing a laptop or computer.
Virus protection and reliable performance
This one is at the top of my list, but maybe that’s just me! I’ve had so many computers that were great in the beginning, but then they got slower and slower. Due to viruses and poor performance.
And, it drives me crazy! You’ll see that is why my top choice of the best laptop is the Apple Macbook Air 13.
In general, when it comes to performance you need high RAM, a strong processor and fast CPU so keep these things in mind as you look for a laptop.
Weight
Another important factor is the weight of the laptop. If you are a travel blogger, you may need something compact and lightweight to make it easier to take with you.
Even if you aren’t a travel blogger, having something portable and easy to carry around is still important. I know I like to take my laptop to coffee shops sometimes to work on the blog.
Storage space
As you continue in your blogging journey, you will accrue a lot of files. Images, Pinterest pins, graphics and of course blog posts!
You need a laptop with a lot of memory and storage space to keep all your files. You should also make sure you purchase a good backup hard drive to protect all your files if anything goes wrong with your laptop.
Solid state vs. Hard disk drive
These are the two options on storage. If you can afford it, opt for the SSD. It is much faster than hard disk drive storage. It will even launch software and programs extremely fast.
The good news is, new 2023 laptops models all have solid state.
RAM
RAM is an important factor in what laptop you choose. Not having enough of it can cause your computer to perform slowly.
The options ons RAM are 4GB, 8GB and 16GB. For a blogger, 4GB is absolutely not enough for a windows based, PC computer. For a Macbook it can be however.
Since Windows requires 4GB by itself, you will need 8GB in your laptop at minimum. But, for a blogger, I suggest you opt for 16GB when choosing a laptop. It will give you plenty of space and performance.
Long battery life
You may not always be near an electrical outlet. So, having a long battery life can make your life easier.
Display
Another feature bloggers should look for in a computer is the display type. You may not want to opt for the smallest display.
Having more space on your screen for multiple items can be beneficial, so opt for the largest, 17″ display if you wan that.
You should also keep in mind the resolution. The higher the resolution, the more detail you will be able to see. For influencers or vloggers, this may be important when it comes to photo and video editing.
2.5K resolution is the top choice you can get. The higher resolution displays are also much better for your eyes.
Price
This may or may not be a factor for you in choosing the right blogging laptop. But, if it is it certainly drives your options!
You may need a budget laptop, especially as a beginner. Or, if you are already making money blogging then you can opt for a more expensive option with enhanced capabilities.
In any case, price will affect what you choose one way or the other.
What Kind of Laptop is Best for blogging?
This may vary from one person to the next depending on the factor of budget and personal preferences in screen size, processing speed etc..
But, in general, you need a laptop with good battery life, at least 256 GB of storage and decent RAM as well. 8 GB of RAM is the minimum, but 16 obviously is a better choice.
Why should I invest in a laptop for blogging?
Well, for starters blogging is a lot of work. And anything that will make that process easier, is worth the investment.
Plus, you are likely starting a blog because you want to make money. And investing in the right tools for blogging, can help boost your productivity and success.
As a blogger, you will likely need some graphic capabilities, fast processing and storage space. You may even need video editing capabilities. So, investing in a decent laptop is important.
