Credit Saint Vs. Lexington Law Services
Credit Saint and Lexington Law are based on the same principle of helping people spot and challenge incorrect information that appears on their credit reports.
Deleting or correcting accounts reported to each credit bureau by disputing inaccurate entries can improve your credit score and report.
Here are some items both companies will correct:
- Using the incorrect name, address, or Social Security number.
- The wrong loan and credit card balances listed.
- The erasing of outdated inquiries from your credit report.
- Rejected bankruptcies and defunct collection accounts.
- Fraudulent accounts opened under your credit by someone else
Credit repair companies like Credit Saint or Lexington Law, will write a dispute letter challenging any unfavorable information that has been incorrectly shown on your credit report. This is how they get these items removed, and help to raise your credit score.
Credit Saint and Lexington Law will also assist with drafting cease and desist letters to creditors who have reported erroneous information after being notified of the dispute.
In addition, you might be eligible for goodwill letter support, which, in exchange for debt recovery, could help you get accurately reported late payments taken off your record. While this tactic is not guaranteed to work, it can really help improve your credit if it works.
Overall, both companies provide the same credit repair services.
Both companies offer customer support with a phone call. One difference however, is that Lexington Law does have actual lawyers and paralegals on staff to help you.
Lexington Law assigns a paralegal or credit lawyer that has received the necessary training, certification, and accreditation to work in the credit repair field to your case.
This is especially helpful if you need to grab a creditor’s attention who might be reluctant to react to a dispute letter. To creditors, a letter from an attorney carries slightly more weight than one from some unknown, little credit repair firm.
Note that Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Ohio, Oregon, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, and South Carolina are not able to access Credit Saint’s services.
So, if you live in one of these states, obviously Lexington Law Firm is the better option.
In general, the services you will receive from both companies is pretty much the same, however Credit Saint has a little better reputation overall, so they may be the winner in this category as well.

How Does Credit Repair Work?
In most cases, fixing your credit will take you roughly six months. The process is that negative, inaccurate items are removed from your credit report. You can see the general scoring impact in the image above.
Your credit repair company will take this time to dispute any incorrect information on your credit reports with all three main bureaus.
Keep this in mind, as disputing accurate things on a credit report is against the law for credit repair companies.
Thus, if you were indeed late on your credit card payment, you have no recourse against the resultant negative record on your credit report. Credit rehabilitation also includes:
- Writing goodwill letters appealing for the removal of your legitimate, negative items that aren’t wanted anymore. While it doesn’t always work, there is still a chance of success.
- Making it possible to keep tabs on your FICO rating as well as your scores from other reporting bureaus using credit monitoring services.
- Protection against identity theft services.
In addition, creditors may be persuaded to stop posting negative information on your credit record when an intervention is filed on your behalf.
Depending on the company, you may have to pay more or be upgraded to a higher tier of service for certain credit repair services. The more you pay, the more features you may get and the more aggressive the credit repair
To be sure your monthly cost covers everything, double-check with the company you’re considering to see what is and isn’t included.
And, to learn a lot in general about credit reporting and your credit, check out the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
If you are just looking for a way to boost your credit score, you can also purchase a tradeline. This adds the credit history of an old and positive account to yours, thereby increasing your positive credit.
Tradeline Supply Company sells these. You can purchase a tradeline and help your credit score as well as your report without enlisting a credit repair company.
How Long Does It Take to Repair Your Credit?
The length of time it will take to fix your credit will vary based on how complicated your case is and how many negative items there are to remove.
Results may be available in as little as 30 to 45 days if you only have a few items to dispute. Complex situations can take up to six months or more. Because each credit bureau must look into each matter individually.
Each of these probes could take up to a month to finish. You may have to wait several months for all of your disputes to be lodged if your credit repair firm has a cap on the number of disputes it will submit on your behalf.
On average, most credit repair companies state that it takes about 6 months to repair your credit.
However, how long it takes to repair your credit may be shorter or longer.

What is the Cost of Credit Repair?
If you are not committed to a contract with a specific credit repair company, your monthly charge may fluctuate at any time.
You can subscribe to Lexington Law for $99.95 a month or $139.95 a month. Credit Saint’s monthly subscription fees range from $79.99 to $119.99. And, both companies charge an additional one-time setup fee depending on which monthly plan you choose.
So, basically the cost of credit repair depends on which company you choose, but also on how long it takes to repair your individual credit.
It may take only 3 months for your’s vs. 6 months for another customer.
IS Credit Repair Guaranteed to work?
When it comes to your credit history, no credit repair service can make a complete turnaround.
Repairing your credit involves removing negative information that has been recorded wrongly. You can’t get legitimate stuff removed unless you or your credit repair company negotiates that with the creditor.
So, if you are just trying to get negative items removed that actually did happen, like late payments, or defaulted loans, then it is not going to work!
However, credit repair can clean up your credit report and increase your credit score if you are getting inaccurate items removed.
Credit Saint vs. Lexington Law: Which One is Better?
While we favor Credit Saint vs. Lexington Law in this contest, we believe that both are reputable credit repair businesses. They both offer years of expertise assisting clients in removing mistakenly recorded bad items from their credit reports.
It only takes a glance at a Credit Saint review or a Lexington Law review to see that there are far more positive comments than bad ones.
Each service is reliable and can help you improve your credit score, but which one is best for you will vary.
Lexington Law may be able to assist you with more complex issues on your credit report however by providing paralegal services and legal counsel.
However, Credit Saint is more affordable and has a better BBB review. So our overall recommendation is that Credit Saint is a better choice of credit repair company than Lexington Law.
That being said, Lexington Law is still one of the most reputable credit repair companies out there and certainly a solid choice to help repair your credit.
